Thank you for a great DMS 2015 Congress!
This year we had 301 participants, 8 parallel sessions with 20 presentations followed by 18 flashtalk presenters and of course individual talks and the keynote. The poster exhibition included over 70 posters - and finally 4 casks of beer were consumed.
For the 130 of you who joined us at the congress dinner at Spiseloppen in Christiania, also thank you for a great evening with good food and wine.
We look forward to presenting new initiatives for you in 2016 and hope to see you again at DMS2016.
Invitation to Inauguration of Biofilm imaging facility
At Panum - Faculty Club SUND
Our new and first in Denmark ZEISS LSM 880 with Airyscan and environmental champer has been installed at Costerton Biofilm Center and we proudly invite to inauguration and reception to celebrate. During the scientific talks you will be introduced to the capabilities of the microscope and our visions for our research and possible collaborations with you!
Free online course in bacteria and chronic infections
If you are interested in chronic infections and the fundamentals of biofilm, here is a free online course to get you started. The course runs from 1 December – 13 January on the open access platform Coursera.
Leading experts in the field will make you familiar with the fundamental concepts of microbiology and bacteriology such as single cell bacteria, biofilm formation, and acute and chronic infections. The course is offered by the University of Copenhagen, The Costerton Biofilm Center, which is an interdisciplinary research center established to explore the field of chronic bacterial infections.
On 26 January DMS hosted a very intersting Symposium on MRSA. Robert Skov (SSI), Henrik Westh (MRSA Knowledge Center, Hvidovre Hospital) and Luca Guardabassi (Department of Veterinary Disease Biology, University of Copenhagen) presented at the event. In addition a panel discussion with representatives from political and interest organisations was held.
Thank you for a great congress
DMS annual congress was held on November 10, 2014 in Eigtveds Pakhus, Copenhagen. This year more participants than ever before, decided to visit the congress, which added to the atmosphere.
